EarCheck Giveaway Closed

EarCheck® Middle Ear Monitor is the first clinically proven home-use monitor that accurately detects middle ear fluid, a key sign of an ear infection.

Used by pediatricians for years, EarCheck helps you identify:

- If your child might have an ear infection
- When it's necessary to seek medical attention
- When the fluid is going away or gone

All in the convenience of your own home!
Fast
With the touch of a button, quickly detect the presence of middle ear fluid accurately and painlessly.
Accurate
Clinically proven and used by pediatricians; FDA cleared and UL approved.
Easy to use
Provides results in seconds in just a few easy steps.
Safe
Designed to be gentle on a child's delicate ear - ages 6 months and up.

How does it work?
The EarCheck® Middle Ear Monitor uses gentle sound waves to accurately and painlessly detect the presence of middle ear fluid, a key sign of an ear infection.

I used the EarCheck on my daughter to see how it would work. It was very simple. I placed the EarCheck gently in her outer ear and after a few seconds I had a reading. It read green which this is what I expected. She did not get upset at all at the process like I said it was very simple. This is a great device to have on hand.

How to win:

You need to visit EarCheck then come back and leave a comment on why you want to win. Want another entry? Blog about this giveaway and leave a post that you did and where or tweet it. You can also subscribe to my blog / be a follower / grab my button for additional entries! Winners will be picked using random.org. Contest will end May 4, 2009 9:00 PM EST.

My daughter gets ear infections frequently, so every time she complains of an earache, I worry. However, every time she has an earache doesn't mean an infection, and we've spent money going to the dr when it's been "just a little fluid". It would be great to save the money and still have peace of mind!

I'm a paranoid mamma, but with due cause. My now 3 year old had 8 double ear infections in her first 6 months of life. Talk about crazy! At 6 months she was old enough to get tubes and fix all of her ear problems. But now with baby number 2, if she even whimpers and pulls at her ear i instantly think EAR INFECTION! So to be able to have a tool to prevent me from packing us all up in the van and heading to the doctors every time she scratches at her ear would be AMAZING!

This would help me track how many ear infections my children have to see if there is an issue. It seems unnecessary to run them to the doctor's office every time I wonder if there is an ear infection since we avoid antibiotics unless absolutely necessary and the doctor won't do more than look in their ears and say yes/no.

my son had an ear infection at his last checkup....i was unaware. Then we had to go back for a recheck w/ a $30 copay just for them to tell me that it looked like it was still resolving itself. He continued to mess with his ear for about a month following, making me wonder if it was really resolving. I did not want to have to go back again and pay ANOTHER copay for them to tell me he was fine. How great would it be for me to be able to check this at home. Thanks.
