Here is some information from their site:

The Waterpik Ultra has state-of-the-art dental water jet technology and provides the ultimate in performance. It comes with six tips, including the new orthodontic and toothbrush tips.

~Improves dental hygiene and is clinically proven to be up to 93% more effective than dental floss at improving gum health--1--
~Removes bacteria deep between teeth and below the gumline where brushing and flossing will not reach
~Massages and stimulates gums to help prevent gingivitis and improve oral health
~Works with water or your favorite mouthwash
~Leaves a clean, fresh sensation

Retail Value - $59.99

I was really excited to get to try the Waterpik Ultra Dental Water Jet. My teeth and gums are very sensitive. Honestly I hate to floss. After I hooked it up I tried everything on low with the standard tip. It felt like my gums were getting a massage. Then I tried it with mouthwash it was even better. After a few days I turned up the pressure setting and I really feel like my gums are getting healthy and not as sensitive. It even comes with lots of tips including 2 standard, a tongue cleaner, pik pocket tip, orthodontic tip and a toothbrush tip. The toothbrush tip is another great one to use while you brush your teeth you also get the benefits of a water jet.

Clinically Proven Results from their website:

A study at the University of Nebraska found that adding a dental water jet to toothbrushing was up to 93% more effective at improving gum health than traditional brushing and flossing. Whether they used a manual toothbrush or a sonic-powered toothbrush, adding the dental water jet improved their ability to reduce bleeding, gingivitis, and plaque, the common signs of gum disease.

Since 1962, the Waterpik® dental water jet oral irrigator has been helping people improve their oral health. Its impressive record for safety and effectiveness has been evaluated in more than 50 studies in over 25 independent and university-based research centers. It is clinically proven to reduce the signs of gum disease even in people with braces, implants, crowns, bridges, and diabetes.
