Retail Value - $59.99

I was really excited to get to try the Waterpik Ultra Dental Water Jet. My teeth and gums are very sensitive. Honestly I hate to floss. After I hooked it up I tried everything on low with the standard tip. It felt like my gums were getting a massage. Then I tried it with mouthwash it was even better. After a few days I turned up the pressure setting and I really feel like my gums are getting healthy and not as sensitive. It even comes with lots of tips including 2 standard, a tongue cleaner, pik pocket tip, orthodontic tip and a toothbrush tip. The toothbrush tip is another great one to use while you brush your teeth you also get the benefits of a water jet.

Clinically Proven Results from their website:

A study at the University of Nebraska found that adding a dental water jet to toothbrushing was up to 93% more effective at improving gum health than traditional brushing and flossing. Whether they used a manual toothbrush or a sonic-powered toothbrush, adding the dental water jet improved their ability to reduce bleeding, gingivitis, and plaque, the common signs of gum disease.

Since 1962, the Waterpik® dental water jet oral irrigator has been helping people improve their oral health. Its impressive record for safety and effectiveness has been evaluated in more than 50 studies in over 25 independent and university-based research centers. It is clinically proven to reduce the signs of gum disease even in people with braces, implants, crowns, bridges, and diabetes.

Wow, seems like almost everyone wants to have this thing! Well, with that crazy price, I would want to have this for free too. Haha!

It actually reminds me of the whole set of dental tools my dentists use. So, it may be good for my dental health, but technically, this gadget freaks me out. :D

Looks useful - it removes plaque below the gumline where floss, etc. can't reach!

I looked at the website and I could write down something from the website but instead I'll say this.
I had one of these when I was a teenager with braces and it was amazing. My grandparents bought me one when I got braces and I remember loving the way it felt on my gums. And I never had to worry about what was left in my teeth or braces because this got rid of everything!
It's been a little over 20 years since the last time I used one and now I'm gearing up to have to get my son one, who will definitely need braces in about a year.

I have gum problems and my oldest just coming out of braces and my youngest going to get them soon it's hard to be faitfull to flossing, this would be a wonderful alternative and having braces with the girls would be a big help. In a recent study the Waterpik® dental water jet oral irrigator removed three times more plaque and reduced bleeding better than brushing and flossing in 11 - 17 year olds with fixed orthodontic appliances. And they liked it so much that 92% said they would continue to use the Waterpik dental water jet "every day" or "frequently" when the study was completed. 7
